Eleventh Hour

Eleventh Hour

This wall clock has three elements.
The first is the green horizontal band just below the center point of the clock. The base is a slice of recycled mirror. On top of the mirror I've stacked pieces of scrap stained glass. Light travels through the colored glass and reflects back out from the mirror.
The surface of the clock is a corrugated mosaic of squares and rectangles, separated by corrugated cross-sections - all lines are horizontal and vertical.
The third are the "electronic millefiori" hour points. I had been collecting these green electronic components for some time. There were supposed to be 12 matching points but when I went to install them, I could only find 11. As usual, my deadline was looming and there is never a dead television lying around when I need one. The eleventh hour point is an improvisation and gave this clock its name.

11" x 11" on a base of triplewall corrugated.

95% recycled material. The quartz clock works are not recycled.
